As a product writer and sub-editor in the luxury fashion e-commerce industry, I second everything you said. I am glad to see our work is recognized.

Working in such industry I have started to be chirurgical about my shopping down to the size&fit details.

So many amazing tips! I am the worst with shoes - I never know which shoes look best with what. If I do happen to know which shoes would look best, they're either ridiculously expensive or super uncomfortable.

As for synthetics, I completely agree - I love them. They often drape well, don't require ironing and provide interesting texture.

Also love the Cladwell app!! I think it’s more expensive though.

Hello! Just a heads up that your last link with your shop IG is not working (probably because you've changed the name of the page to /subrinaheyinknewsletter in the meanwhile).

Regarding the "rules", I am guilty of some of them, most notoriously the $30 shipping one. The issue is that if the item doesn't fit or I don't like it (which happens so often) this quickly turns into likely at least a $50 or more loss: first, because you won't get your shipping back if you return the item and second, because the shop that charges that much for shipping will likely also charge for returns. I've been burned with this as recently as one week ago and that money could have gone towards something that I liked. Therefore, I still hate having to pay for shipping especially for these big retailers that could surely take the losses. But your trick about ordering the full-price item is neat.
