In the spring of 2019, I made a mood board on Pinterest titled “Women we adore” that featured women I look to while getting dressed and women whose personal style I admire. I have been thinking of the women I adore since I sent out part 2 of the newsletter about my editor’s wedding: In it, I said there are four women I think of while getting dressed, and one of you asked me to write about them.
Writing about my ladies also means writing about my mum, and unlike my other ladies, I do not have photos to show you how my mother, Cleopatra, dressed. Writing about Cleo is sensitive, but I couldn’t write about the women who have influenced my way of dressing without including her because it started with her.
